The shopping "Village" has several restaurants and fast food outlets,
a Woolworth Food, as well as a Checkers. There is a bottle store, Clicks, MTN, estate agents, Absa, Nedbank
etc, as well as a CNA etc etc. There are also several medical suites. You basically don't need a car to go
shopping! A fully fledged shopping centre, across the road.
If you want more than that, Gateway (rumored to be one of the largest malls in the
Southern Hemisphere) is just minutes away. There you will find theatres, fun parks, an artificial wave
machine (to learn surfing), as well as hundreds of shops and restaurants of every description. Top
overseas acts feature on a regular basis, as well as local talent eg Prime Circle, Locnville, Pitbull
etc etc.
The beach is literally just down the road, about 80 meteres to the
shore. You will be in good company, as the Oyster box and Beverly hills hotel, are right there as well.
Luckily, the main holiday and tourist traffic, is on the other side of the "village", as such not really
affecting the situation.
Of course La Lucia Mall is only a stones throw away, and
Durban itself is literally just down the road.
There you have access to virtually anything, from long beaches, to Casino's to Ushaka Marine world.
If you fly a lot, The new King Shaka Airport, is a few kilometres away inland.
And if you are used to Joburg traffic, you will get the surprise of your life, in a good
way.
